From Out of Nowhere is the fourteenth studio album by British stone band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), and the 2d credited to Jeff Lynne's ELO. The ring'south first studio anthology in 4 years, it was released on 1 November 2019 through Big Trilby and Columbia Records. The title rails was released as the lead single on 26 September 2019.[2] Lynne played most instruments on the anthology.[3] Despite only playing on i anthology track, keyboardist Richard Tandy finally returned to Jeff Lynne's ELO as a permanent fellow member.

Background [edit]

Lynne stated that the get-go track he wrote for the anthology was the title track, and said information technology was named "From Out of Nowhere" as "that'south exactly where it came from". Its themes of "promise and salvation" and optimism besides appear throughout the album.[iv] [v]

From Out of Nowhere Tour [edit]

In Jan 2020 Jeff Lynne'southward ELO announced a tour that would take place across the United kingdom, Europe, and Republic of ireland.[6] [7] On May 15 the tour was cancelled due to the COVID-nineteen pandemic.[8]
